You should be concerned about privacy.
Privacy is big news these days. Many persons have been surprised and hurt when confidential information about them became public knowledge via the internet.
Of course this also happens outside of the internet. You may say something in private to a friend and later learn that your words have "gotten around."
The fact is, there is only one person to whom you can talk and be 100% sure that what you say will remain totally private - that is to Jehovah in your prayers.
Still, the Friendly Help Group believes it is very important for you to be as confident as possible that (1) what you write to us and what we write back to you will never go further than that and (2) we don't know who you are.
Why is that so important? You probably have struggled long and hard to get up the courage to communicate with anyone about your issue. We want you to feel that you can write to us about anything and that your information will remain totally private and confidential. (Please see our Terms of Service about forms of abuse that the United States law requires us to report.)
So here is what you should do and what we do.
1. When you write to us do not reveal information that could reveal your identity, such as your name, your address, city where you live, telephone number, etc.
2. Do not email us directly - use the provided contact form on our website. That's because if you email us directly, your name might automatically show up on the mail we receive.
3. You might choose to create a temporary email account just for the purpose of receiving replies from us.
4. Your communications arrive in a password-secured account. We change the password regularly. We delete your communications after we have replied. Your communications are not printed or stored anywhere else.
5. We are professionals bound by a code of ethics that honors your total privacy and confidentiality.
